He sighs into the kiss, unable to stop himself from wrapping his arms around her. No matter how much his anger and frustration threatened to consume him whole with the secrets she kept from him, nothing would change that he had almost lost her. He had almost become a widower and finally he knows what his mother must have felt when she thought his father had died, all those years ago.
